Dreamy Maternity Photos in the Snow

I’ve been photographing the exciting stages in growing families’ lives for many years now. Throughout that time, I’ve found that every client has an idea of how they envision their perfect photos, and certain requests or ideas are particularly popular. For maternity photos, nearly all of my clients who are pregnant during the winter dream of a gorgeous snowy setting, and I can’t blame them because fresh snow creates a stunning backdrop.

Unfortunately, snow doesn’t always cooperate and start falling exactly when we want it to, but this couple hit the jackpot. There was a picture-perfect flurry of snow before and during their session so not only did they have fresh white snow on the ground, but they were surrounded by falling snowflakes throughout their photos too.

Red Is A Classic Contrast

Mom is absolutely gorgeous in this deep red dress, and the red is a classic contrast to the bright snow. As much as we wanted to show Mom and her glowing love for her baby, Mom wanted to make sure to get plenty of sweet photos of the family together too. Dad’s warm smile makes it clear how much he loves his little family, and this lucky baby’s big sister-to-be was such a fun model. I can tell already that she’ll be a wonderfully caring and nurturing big sis.
