Light and Feminine Newborn Photos

Throughout my years as a newborn photographer and family photographer, I’ve learned how truly unique each new family is. Every family has their own personalities, aesthetics, and dreams for their child, and my goal for each photography session is to capture a few of the aspects that make the family special.

Baby Sophie was no exception. Mom and Dad were thrilled to welcome their baby girl, and they wanted her newborn photos to be light, classic, simple, and of course, girly. Those were our focuses for Sophie’s session, so I designed her photos with subtle and gentle colors, dainty flowers, and sleepy poses for this sweet little girl.

Adorable Newborn Poses

Little Sophie was an angel throughout her entire session! She slept so well, allowing us to get plenty of adorable newborn poses and backgrounds. Nothing seemed to faze her, and if she’s as content and well-behaved as she was during our session, Mom and Dad are fortunate to have a very happy and mellow little girl. Although I’m sure she is going to have many sides to her personality!

I love all the simple and classic photos of baby Sophie, but one portrait is especially meaningful for the family. The portrait features a beautiful necklace around Sophie’s neck. This necklace is a memento of Sophie’s grandmother, her dad’s mother, who passed away before Sophie was born. Sophie is lucky to have such a special heirloom and parents who honor her grandmother, and I was touched that I was able to help them honor Sophie’s grandmother in one of her portraits too.
