High School Sweethearts Newborn Photos

Every growing family is precious in their own way, and I love getting to know my clients and hearing their stories of how they became the sweet families they are today. This family in particular was so touching. Mom and Dad are high school sweethearts, so they’ve grown into the fun couple they are together. When they found out that baby Theo would be joining their long-standing two-person club, they were beyond excited to meet their new little club member.

I can’t blame them for being so excited, because little Theo is an absolute dream. Those baby cheeks are too adorable to take your eyes off of, and he’s such a content little guy. In fact, he slept throughout most of our session. I didn’t get a peek at his beautiful eyes until the end of the session when we were capturing the “nighty-night” photograph of Theo tucked in with a sleeping cap and teddy bear (ironic, I know!).

To show off Theo as the true star that he is, we opted for neutral and simple backgrounds for most of his newborn portraits. For the portraits with a few more added details, we focused on an earthy and mellow aesthetic, which fit this laid-back little boy perfectly.

When creating newborn photos, the photos of the entire family are always among my favorites, and these high school sweethearts newborn photos didn’t disappoint. It’s easy to see how much love Mom and Dad have for each other and for baby Theo. Theo clearly feels it too because he couldn’t hold back that amazing little grin in his portrait with Dad, and no one who sees that photo can hold back a smile either.
