Girly and Glamorous One-Year Photos

One of my favorite parts of my work as a family photographer is watching how babies transform so much between their newborn photos and their one-year photos. It never feels like much time has passed when a family calls me for their one-year milestone photos, but it’s incredible to see how their sleepy little ones have turned into energetic almost-toddlers and have developed their own personalities.

This was absolutely true for little Kennedy. I had the pleasure of creating Kennedy’s precious newborn photos when she was a dainty and quiet little baby. When I met up with the family a year later for Kennedy’s photos to commemorate her first birthday, it was such a joy to see the lively and silly girl that Kennedy had grown into.

Smiling And Giggling Cake Smash

Mom and Dad were excited to see how Kennedy would enjoy her session, and she made it into a party! Little Kennedy was an absolute ham, having a fantastic time smiling and giggling for the camera. She let me capture so many beautiful smiles during her session, though my favorite has to be her gleeful grin as Dad was swinging her into the air.

Along with Kennedy’s solo portraits and the family portraits, cake smash photos were a must for this one-year photo session. It was adorable to watch Kennedy studying her cake before she dug in and flashed me a few of her famous smiles. The cake smash photos were a hit with Kennedy and Mom and Dad too!
