We’ve all seen our friends and family members’ newborn portraits for their babies on social media, and it’s easy to fall in love with portrait styles and poses that span a wide range of looks and styles. I’m always happy to incorporate as many of your favorites as we can! In the midst of this, though, I advise every family to think about how they want to display their portraits and how their photos will fit into their home’s color scheme.

That’s exactly why we opted for a cream color baby photoshoot for baby Emma’s newborn photos. Mom and Dad are absolutely enamored with their baby girl and they couldn’t wait to have her portraits grace their walls at home, so we made sure the color palette for her photos would coordinate well with their décor. It turned out that the soft neutrals complimented Emma’s delicate features perfectly.

Mom in particular was thrilled to be having a little girl! Baby Emma entered the world so tiny, and she was such a good little sleeper that Mom and Dad had a hard time keeping her awake to feed her. Luckily, though, she was doing well by the time her photo session rolled around. Little Emma slept so well during our session that it was a breeze to pose her and create plenty of adorable sleepy portraits. It almost felt like posing a little life-sized doll. I just can’t get over the way she sucks in that tiny lower lip in her photo cuddling the little stuffed bunny!
