1 Year Baby Photoshoot ~ Aria

For adults and kids alike, let’s be honest, posing for photos isn’t a favorite past-time for everyone. Some people are just uncomfortable in front of a camera…but little Aria didn’t have an ounce of discomfort in her! She really hammed it up for her 1 year baby photoshoot.

To celebrate Aria’s first birthday, Mom wanted to get 1 year pictures that showcased how much her daughter had grown and how much her personality had developed. And quite the personality it is! Aria was full of smiles and laughter, and she managed to show us every fun side of her personality throughout her 1 year baby photoshoot.

I love the classically simple sets we used for Aria because they truly allowed her to shine. Her beautiful pink outfit is stunning against the white backgrounds and muted prompts, though it still doesn’t stand out as much as her adorable grin does.

For part of Aria’s session, we went for a “whiteout” theme with a white background and a white dress. Aria was hamming it up and having a great time, and I love that this clean look can fit well with the family’s décor in any room. Mom also brought a beautiful white swan which was a treasured gift for Aria, and the portrait with this swan is a fantastic tribute to what I’m sure will become a beloved family heirloom.

Of course, we couldn’t forget about the cake smash for this 1 year baby photoshoot! Not all babies handle jewelry and accessories well, but Aria was so cooperative with her pearls, and Mom was thrilled to see that they worked so perfectly. When it was time to smash the cake, Aria dug in with enthusiasm and it make for some absolutely precious baby photos.
